Hughes Networks Systems is looking for an Engineer 2 Customer Networks to join their North America team in Germantown, Maryland.

Responsibilities:

* Design and build networks to support Enterprise customers.
* Monitor and troubleshoot Windows and/or Linux platforms running Managed Customer services.
* Troubleshoot RF devices, Hughes applications, network infrastructure and connectivity issues.
* Coordinate applications and performance tests.
* This position will work a third shift schedule after training

Basic Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Computer Networking or related.

Preferred Qualifications

* Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications.
* Technical experience and troubleshooting with Oracle database and SQL scripting
* Applicant must be able to thrive in a high pressure, cross functional environment.
* Strong Analytical, organizational and multitasking is mandatory
* Understanding of satellite communication networks
* Understanding of Windows and Linux Server system administration and/or software
* Cisco routing and switching knowledge
* Packet sniffer trace analysis
