Job Description SummaryThe Windows Messaging Engineer position is focusing on design and implementation of support technologies for an enterprise email system, Exchange/O365, Active Directory and remediation of the existing environment. Responsibilities: •Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016, DNS, DHCP, WINS Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365. •Working knowledge on patching and monitoring systems. (SCCM, SCOM, and Solarwinds)•Experience with Skype for Business 2015 architecture, implementation and maintenance. •Experience with Office 365 and Azure AD strongly preferred. •Experience with PowerShell •Must be able to successfully execute against project tasks and deliverables. •Must be able to create and maintain clear and easily understandable documentation for the current and proposed state of systems within the scope of the position. •Basic understanding of networking, firewalls, and security. •Ability to analyze, propose, and implement complex workflows and process improvements. •Responsibility for up-time and restoration of service in an enterprise environment. •Experience adhering to a change management process for all production changes. •Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to coordinate multiple demands and be highly self-motivated. •Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service in a professional environment. •Experience logging, tracking, and resolving issues within a ticketing system such as ServiceNow or Remedy. •Provide training and support to employees when necessary•Provide a high level of technical understanding for problem solving and troubleshooting•Interact with Hardware and Software vendors to address issues when necessary•Use escalation standards and personal judgment to ensure timely resolution of problems•Accept and resolve escalated trouble tickets from Service Desk and other teams.•Work afternoon shift with On-Call shift rotations with other members of the department•Use expertise on managing and resolving issues that arrive with exchange/O365 Microsoft systems. The Ideal Candidate will possess the Following Additional Education and Experience:•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field required, equivalent years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree•At least two (2) to five (5) years' experience working in a large (> 20K users) Windows environment.•Experience with Windows, Windows Server, Microsoft technology, Azure, O365, and Exchange.•Organizational Skills (ability to organize large amounts of data in a logical manner)•Excellent Troubleshooting Skills.•Strong communication skills•Excellent documentation skills are required•Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical executives and managers•Competent administrator of mixed-technology solutions•Act as part of a structured operations team in support of resolving technical issues•Availability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during off-work hours and/or extended hours when outages or projects requiredPhysical Requirements:•Work is performed in a fast-paced Information Technology environment•Ability to lift or transport items weighing up to 40 lbs.Additional Requirements as per contract/client:•Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust - Moderate Risk security clearance•GC Holder / US Citizens only
