Job Description

Overview

maintenance of software test plans, test procedures, and test automation tools used in the validation of the software in our electronic control systems deployed in the rail industry. The ETS will be required to contribute to designing and developing high quality software test processes for a fast paced environment, as well as support and enhance the entire software development life cycle.

The position requires a highly-motivated engineer with the ability to participate collaboratively within a project team as well as develop technical solutions independently, execute test procedures and deliver comprehensive reports.

Responsibilities

* Accountable for design, development of software test plans, test procedures, and test automation tools used in the validation of the software for electronic control systems deployed in the rail industry.
* Review and analyze software requirements specifications, functional specifications, and software design documents for testability.
* Develop and document requirements for test automation software.
* Ensure adequate requirements test coverage via traceability reports.
* Maintain system level test plans, test procedures, and test automation tools.
* Execute tests and document results from system verification and validation.
* Facilitate test results reviews.

Qualifications

* Associates degree in a technical discipline and minimum 3 years test engineering experience or 5 years engineering experience.
* 1+ years of experience in developing programmatic solutions (script and/ or applications) for test automation and/ or automated build environments.
* Knowledge of LabView Development System is a plus.
* Experience with application lifecycle management tools (e.g., TestTrack Pro, HP Quality Center, etc.)
* Solid understanding of requirements management and traceability.
* Working knowledge of software configuration and change management, continuous integration and automated testing processes.
* Understanding of agile development methodologies such as Scrum is a plus.
* Ability to work in a very fast pace dynamic environment with daily adjustments to priorities and time to meet the needs of the organization.
* Effective communication skills, ability to articulate clearly and concise.
