What does this team do?

Postmates Unlimited is premium subscription product that intends to build best experience and benefits for Members. Unlimited is one of fast growing subscriptions products in the industry. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Lead who will be passionate and objective to build world-class experience for Unlimited members at Postmates. In this role, you will be leading a team of developers cross-functionally across apps development and back-end services to build and ship product. You will jointly own part of company's strategic goal and responsible for achieving it

As an Engineering Lead, you will partner with product management, data analytics, business operations and other engineering leaders to achieve the OKRs. You will participate in technical design and planning while providing guidance for engineers to ensure they execute well everyday. Further, as team grows you can hire and mentor software developers as needed to continuously improve and innovate the product

To be successful in this role, you need to be a strong technologist who can earn respect and influence peers, partners and other engineering teams. Also, hands-on engineer who can scale from soft developer to a leader as needed to make progress. Further, being data drive, end user focused, and results oriented is essential in this fast paced high growth environment

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Computer Science or a related field

10+ years of experience in building impactful and technically complex software systems

5+ years of progressive experience in managing engineering teams

Proven expertise in building large-scale web applications and distributed systems

Accomplished technical leader with strong track of record delivering results at high speed and quality

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field

2+ years of experience in subscriptions products
