Verisign is currently looking for a mid-level Software Engineer in MIS that would support and build enhancements within Verisign's financial and HR systems landscape that includes ERP systems, web applications/web services, mobile applications and integration frameworks as well as provide technical support to internal business customers. This person will help understand functional requirements to provide lean and effective solutions using the right technology stack in an agile manner. They will also partner with other teams in testing, implementation, and post production support as needed.

Responsibilities:

* Design and develop smart and innovative solutions to satisfy business requirements for financial, HR and other back office systems in an agile setting
* Develop applications and products within the existing landscape with creative vision
* Develops deep understanding of connections with other systems and platforms within the Corporate systems landscape.
* Ensures key technical design documentation is completed to a high standard.
* Hands-on ability to build quick prototypes/visuals to assist with high level product concepts and epic stories.
* Support all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications.
* Plans and manages both small and large project initiatives to assure goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time-frame.

Required:

* Minimum 5 years functional experience in Financial, HR or other back office systems
* Minimum 5 years advanced computer programming skills in Java/J2EE, Web Services using REST and SOAP APIs
* Advanced mobile/web programming skills using Angular 2.0 (Type scripting), React, NodeJS, Ionic, & Cordova on iOS platform. Swift & React Native experience is a plus
* Advanced working skills in programming with Oracle (PL/SQL, & SQL)
* Experience with full life-cycle software applications development (i.e., design, construction, testing, and implementation)
* Experience analyzing functional requirements to develop solutions and create component detailed design documents.
* Hand-on experience in automating test cases and exposure to CI/CD
* Can-do positive attitude and a penchant for improving processes and systems.

Preferred:

* Familiarity with JBOSS/FUSE, Oracle EBS, OBIEE technologies
* Experience with Eclipse IDE
* Exposure or experience with Informatica or other ETL tools
* Understanding of collaboration tools such as SharePoint, confluence
* Able to perform the complete system life cycle using Agile Scrum Methodology preferably in JIRA
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
