What you'll be doing...

Provide network design, troubleshooting, installation and maintenance of hardware and software configurations on various devices in the lab. Work with Enterprise and Service provider network hardware platform and architectures, including Cisco and Juniper routers and switches and data center switching platforms. Work closely with planning, operations and other interoperability of networking devices to ensure customer and network upgrade goals are met in a timely manner. Develop and maintain detailed network design and write technical documentation and Method of Procedure (MOPs) for vendor specific hardware routers on installation and also prepare MOP for software upgrade for different platforms. Work with IP networking protocol and technology driven Network Configuration Models, and Routing and Switching technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, STP, VLAN, BGP, ISIS, OSPF and MPLS. Perform lab testing and operational support for the Customers platform comprised of different networking vendors. Automate the regression test cases using management tools such as Spirent iTest, and Selenium and develop the test case code using Python scripting and Robot Framework or JAVA programming language. Configure the routing protocols following services associated with them and test the networking protocols. Develop a Method of Procedure (MOP) & technical documentation coupled with Intelligent Edge Network (IEN) along with the Test Exit Report (TER) for the test executed and publish the developed MOP and the TER to the Operations and Internal Multi Service Edge (MSE) team. Support implementation of the latest Network services, feature and next generation technologies i.e. Network Orchestration, Network Function Virtualization in improving the core customer experience. Replicate the escalated customer issues, software bugs and configuration related issues in the IEN environment and work with the respective vendor to resolve the issue and work on providing the maintenance code for the defect/bug. Maintain the IEN and Maintenance Engineering (ME) Lab focusing on MSE devices from security loops and vulnerable/malicious attacks following constant monitoring using tools like NetMRI and SNMP polling. Work on design requirements of next-generation products and platforms and implement the design in IEN. Use Network orchestrating technologies like Software Defined Network (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) which are both are used in IEN. Create the Jenkins/Jira connectivity along with maintaining the ME JIRA tasks and documenting the TERs. Responsible for Automation using Selenium, Java, Python and Robot Framework. Perform manual testing, QTP, ALM, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifacts, JIRA, STC Traffic, IXIA, and Quali. Use using QoS, L3VPN, and EVPN and work with IEN, MSE, SDN and NFV.

What we're looking for...

Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Electronic Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience working with IP networking protocols. 5 years of experience with Routing and Switching technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, STP, VLAN, BGP, ISIS, OSPF and MPLS. 5 years of experience with Enterprise and Service provider network hardware platform and architectures, including Cisco and Juniper routers and switches and data center switching platforms. 5 years of experience with using QoS, L3VPN, and EVPN. 5 years of experience in Automation using Selenium, Java, Python and Robot Framework. 5 years of experience with manual testing, QTP, ALM, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifacts, JIRA, STC Traffic, IXIA, and Quali. 5 years of experience working with IEN, MSE, SDN and NFV. 5 years of experience with developing and maintaining detailed network design and writing technical documentation and Method of Procedure (MOPs). In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Electronic Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the skill sets stated above. Requires certification in Juniper Network Service Provider Routing and Switching Professional or Cisco Certified Network Professional Routing and Switching, Cisco Certified Network Associate, and Cisco Certified Network Associate Wireless.
