Facebook seeks an experienced, highly-motivated, team player to serve as its IP/DNS Enforcement & Protection Manager. This manager must be a self-starter, flexible thinker, highly detail-oriented, and a good communicator, who is comfortable working with business, legal and technical teams to fulfill Facebook's expansive and evolving IP/DNS (intellectual property/domain name system) needs. Candidates should have experience with some of the following: mitigating online abuse and contributing to DNS security, including enforcement and abuse mitigation in one or more areas - domains, marketplaces, ads, search and mobile apps, domain name management and the domain name "supply chain", creating and improving enforcement systems and workflows, contributing to DNS-related standards, policies, agreements and related initiatives, including those involving cybersecurity.
* Manage vendors, counsels, and multi-faceted processes for global, online enforcement to protect the Facebook family of companies and our users in the domain, marketplace, ad, search, mobile app and related arenas. This includes managing and collaborating with external and internal cross-functional teams review and investigate suspicious activity and take corrective action, and support escalated enforcement projects, including initiatives to achieve high-volume abuse mitigation objectives.
Analyze data and information to track the launch, use and abuse of domains, apps and related internet identifiers, to achieve enforcement and workflow improvements.
Conduct research, as requested, to support development of relevant standards, policies and best practices.
Help evolve and implement enforcement strategies for DNS and related internet identifiers.
Support Facebook's domain name portfolio and domain name registration infrastructure.
Document processes and protocols, and create information and training materials for same to maximize user adoption and educate relevant stakeholders.
Articulate Facebook's DNS and app enforcement, management and infrastructure positions in briefing papers, consultation responses and other materials.
* Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of DNS/IP experience
Experience with online abuse mitigation and IP protection, including enforcement involving domains, marketplaces, ads, search and mobile apps
Experience with the domain name registration pipeline, including related security requirements and protocols
Experience directly advising business stakeholders on domain name acquisition, usage and protection
Experience with DNS business processes, domain name and mobile app operations, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
* Self-directed, highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent analytical, problem solving, and experience multi-tasking
Experience working in a fast-paced, high stakes environment managing a large and varied workload with minimal supervision, and able to act quickly, decisively and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
Team player with experience working in a multi-cultural, global environment
Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and comfort with ambiguity
Strong business judgment and tactical thinking
