What do you get to do in this position?

In this position you plan, design, code, develop, test and document embedded software systems in C and C for software enhancements and new products for industrial process control systems. You apply modern, best practice development techniques and product knowledge toward Research & Development activities. You provide analysis and investigation and resolution of software engineering tasks; participate in the definition of design specifications/parameters; plan, document and carry out software development and testing. You support software modules during Test and Evaluation. You collaborate with other internal organizations such as manufacturing, customer support. You may actively participate in customer facing projects such as beta programs.

Requirements:

Knowledge of microprocessors and microcontrollers.

Minimum 5-7 years or more experience developing software for Embedded Systems.

Good understanding of RTOS.

Proficient in C and C .

Working knowledge of communication principles and protocols.

Working experience with In-Circuit Emulators and Probes.

Excellent troubleshooting skills including use of Digital and Analog scopes.

Working knowledge of BareMetal and 3rd party (i.e VxWorks) RTOS is a definite plus.

Working knowledge of Microprocessor-board bring up and low level drivers is a definite plus.

Nice to have:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science.

Knowledge of Assembly language.

Agile Development experience.

Knowledge of Ethernet protocol.

Experience in Safety Critical application development.

Industry experience in Industrial Automation, Avionics or Medical Device/Equipment.
