Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly motivated software engineer to work with some of the brightest professionals in the cyber technology field. Bring your passion for embedded software development to create new and innovative solutions on a team that is well-respected by an exciting client. Deliver real-time embedded software components constrained by space, performance, and reliability for multiple platforms. Add new capability to existing software products. Excellent documentation and communication skills are a must as the position requires direct interaction with the software engineering and test teams as well as documenting capabilities for customer presentation.

Required Qualifications:

* BS (or MS) in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related field
* 5+ years developing embedded software using C or assembly language
* 2+ years developing real-time OS based applications (e.g. VxWorks)
* 2+ years developing network-based software

Applicants selected for employment may be subject to a federal background investigation and may need to meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of TCP/IP network internals a very strong plus
* Experience with debugging tools such as IDAPro highly desirable
* Experience using the gnu tool chain (cross compilers a strong plus)
* Knowledge of simulators, emulators and logic analyzers desirable
