As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you'll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

JP Morgan Electronic Trading Technology's Algorithmic Trading group is looking for an experienced Software Quality Analyst to join our QA team. As a Software Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for helping to facilitate the quality testing practices in support of JPMorgan Electronic Trading services. Core responsibilities include identifying areas for improving efficiency, shortening of test cycles, automation of test scripts and recommend solutions for improvement. In this fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to interact with all project stakeholders throughout the SDLC. Ability to assess and forecast test efforts, communicate progress, and develop test tools is a must.

This role requires a variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

* Thorough technical and operational knowledge within the QA area of responsibility


* Background or working knowledge on developing Automation test scripts


* Proficiency in Linux/Unix


* Knowledge in shell scripting for Linux/Unix.


* Knowledge of Algorithmic trading


* Working knowledge of Python is a plus


* Scripting experience in Cucumber is a plus


* Performance testing experience is a plus


* Familiarity with the FIX protocol
