Job Description

Description:F-35 Communications, Navigation, and Identification (CNI) IPT position supporting full life-cycle development, production, and sustainment for Integrated CNI, P5 CTS, INS, and/or GPS subsystems. Subcontractor development technical responsibilities include supporting lead engineers in subcontractor technical management, supporting subcontractor hardware/software design, develop and maintain signal interface definitions at subsystem level, processing changes requests, supplier ECP planning and execution, supplier proposal evaluation, and supplier variance dispositions. Production responsibilities include factory & flight line support, on aircraft system checkout, troubleshooting, and development and release of AEIs. Includes working with Mission Systems Design/Test Engineers to assure subsystem designs meet intended overall system design goals. Will also support interpretation of customer requirements, creation of subsystem specifications, development of statements of work, test, integration, root cause analysis for subsystem failures, and identifying corrective actions. Provides this technical expertise to internal and external customers.

Must be able to acquire a SAR clearance.

CNI, Radar, EW, or related avionics functions technology, and product development experience.

Must be able to travel a moderate amount domestically to subcontractor and US government facilities in support of subsystem development and test.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related technical field

Experience with mission system/avionics

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of integrated CNI systems (e.g., F-35 or F-22), INS, and/or GPS concepts, operations, implementation, aircraft integration, and usage.

Knowledge of CNI functions (voice radios, data links, Link 16, TACAN, IFF, crypto).

Experience in RF and/or CNI systems, Integration & Test, flight test, data analysis.

Prior supplier management experience a plus.

Familiarity with JSF toolsets: SIMS & PDM.

Current F-35 program experience and clearances.
