Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:

Overview

The EHR Implementation Analyst will be responsible for analysis and testing of connectivity (interface) projects. They will work closely with the Interface Project Coordinator, Interface Developer, Vendor and Client contacts to ensure the interface project is completed on schedule and with the appropriate high level of quality. In addition, they may be called upon to help analyze and resolve any issues that arise with production interfaces when those issues cannot be resolved by the Client Support Team.

The EHR Implementation Analyst will develop an understanding of Sonic's implementation process and a strong working knowledge of laboratory orders and results interfaces. In addition, excellent communication skills, time management, persistence, and follow-up will be required for success in this position.

Responsibilities

* Participate in the implementation process of new and/or existing interfaces
* Configuration, installation, testing and documentation of Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other related systems interfaces.
* Knowledge of the HL7 clinical transaction standard.
* Reports track and communicate status and issues, based on departmentally defined reporting templates.
* Work with vendors /clients to determine business needs/requirements for new/enhanced systems or applications
* Experience with laboratory or other clinical information systems
* Experience with network connectivity (SFTP, VPN)
* Support and Maintenance
* Provide Level II technical support to clients or assist Help Desk staff in providing support to clients on the above-mentioned implementations.
* Works with integrated support team to provide support for software functionality, content and defect resolution updates
* General Requirements/Skills
* Self-directed, organized, good communication skills, ability to manage multiple implementations at any given time, good follow-up skills
* Strong customer service ethic applied to IT Support and Implementations
* Participate in root cause analysis as trends in issues become identified
* Mature understanding of clinical application support processes and workflow
* Understands pertinent regulatory guidelines such as HIPAA
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinical and information technology personnel verbally and in writing
* Demonstrated advanced computer skills, including ability to perform basic wireless/network/computer issues
* Participates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned

Additional Information

Physical Capabilities:

* Light to moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs.)
* Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
* Occasional carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects.
* Frequent, prolonged standing/sitting/walking.
* Extensive computer work.
* Frequent use of telephone and fax.
* Occasional travel required to interact with Division personnel and/or attend meetings or educational training.
