EBI Data Analyst II

Job Description

The EBI Data Analyst II is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, design requirements, test cases and scripts, test plans, and facilitating in user acceptance testing for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions. The EBI Data Analyst II will work with other technical team members to deploy solutions based on departmental documentation and testing standards and will communicate/interact with end-users individually as needed without direct supervision within the scope of their assigned tasks. The EBI Data Analyst II will also have the following responsibilities including but not limited to:

* Document and gather detailed business requirements for data, reporting, and business intelligence solutions


* Document and gather the following for data, reporting, and business intelligence solutions: detailed functional design specifications, detailed data design specifications, and detailed ETL specifications for Data Warehousing interfaces, extracts, staging areas, atomic areas, and mart database environments


* Develop test cases and SQL test scripts based on detailed data design, detailed functional design, and ETL specifications


* Execute QA data and functional test activities including performing root cause analysis and managing the resolution of defects.


* Manage the resolution of project and support issues within the scope of assigned tasks.


* Take ownership and be fully accountable for assigned support of existing applications including: keeping end-user contact lists up to date, keeping communications of Service Level Agreements up to date, and evaluating and scoping new requests and incidents.



The ideal EBI Data Analyst II holds a Bachelor's Degree combined with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Warehousing, ODS, or other reporting environment within one of the following industries: Healthcare, Supply Chain, or Finance. The ideal EBI Data Analyst II will be experienced in writing SQL queries against relational databases of moderate to high complexity and will be experienced with Agile/SCRUM SDLC. The ideal EBI Data Analyst II will possess exceptional documentation and communication skills in addition to the ability to effectively interact and collaborate with a diverse group of professionals within a team environment.
