The successful Site Merchandising Assistant will help analyze and optimize RalphLauren.com's online merchandising by having a detail-oriented approach and a genuine interest in understanding what drives customers to buy. He/she will help make customer-facing decisions about how to merchandise products in the Ralph Lauren portfolio and will work cross-functionally with Buying, Studio, Copy and Marketing teams to collaboratively execute product lifecycle management and merchandising improvements on site.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Partner with Buying, Studio and Copy teams to approve product to go live on the website in a timely manner, performing necessary QA checks and troubleshooting where applicable * Attribute products based on assortment, seasonality, competitive analysis and identify trends in customer behavior to optimize product discovery and site experience * Conduct daily site sweeps to monitor color defaults, markdown cadences, promotional initiatives and site issues * Analyze site metrics, customer feedback and other related data to identify opportunities to improve conversion rate and drive revenue growth across product categories * Ensure customer experiences is seamless throughout the funnel by consistently performing a series of checks of product pages, category pages, cross-sells, search keywords, navigational elements and more throughout the seasons * Benchmark competitively in order to offer up recommendations on best in class merchandising practices * Work cross-functionally, especially with Buying and Digital Brand Teams, to relentlessly maintain solid understanding of brand priorities and ever-changing product assortment to deliver appropriate representation on-site
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
* BA with strong academic record * 1-2 years of e-commerce experience preferred * Strong analytical skills * Strong Excel skills, particularly to manipulate big data sets * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal * Positive, "can-do" attitude * Willingness to be flexible and pivot across multiple tasks as necessary
