Job Description

Temporary Assignment based in Chelmsford, MA. Efficiently and thoroughly processes engineering changes using the Agile Product Lifecycle Management system. The successful candidate reviews documents for accuracy and completeness and ensures documents meet standards for production in a Copy Exactly environment. The change analyst coordinates the interaction between engineering, manufacturing, field operations, and marketing to ensure appropriate changes are documented. This position is expected to mentor and transfer knowledge to the extended team members. He/she works autonomously to resolve the most complex problems and has latitude in determining methods and processes on new assignments and making recommendations for change of existing procedures and policies

Job Activities

Change Analysts review Engineering Changes for compliance to documentation standards and disposition definitions. Change Analysts work closely with engineering change creators to ensure documentation standards are upheld. Other activities include:

* Reviewing all types of documentation for completeness and accuracy. This includes part drawings, manufacturer's specifications, software files, schematics, manufacturing assembly and test documents. Hundreds of parts and dozens of ECOs will be reviewed and managed daily.
* Assigning required signatures through the approval and verification phases
* Authoring ECOs as needed
* Providing recommendations for modifications to department procedures

Required Skills:

* Excellent organizational, administrative and prioritization skills
* Familiar with development and implementation of business processes
* Effective listener and communicator with great written and oral communication skills
* Experience with MRP systems, Oracle preferred

Experience Requirements

* Bachelor's degree with 4+ years' experience in a product development environment, including usage of Oracle's Agile PLM system or comparable tool with experience in item and BOM management, engineering change order processing, and CAD PDM data management
* Some mechanical and/or electrical drafting experience preferred
* Working knowledge of Drafting and Industry Standards (ANSI, Y14.5M, IEEE, AWS) preferred
