Job OverviewResponsibilities:Coordination of workflow between teams related to power, thermal and performance and Thermal/Limits execution reviews across various products on the QCT roadmapDevelopment of methodologies and procedures for thermal experiments and analysisContribute to power and thermal architecture definitionContribute to hardware and software design related to power and thermal managementCommunication to engineering executive leadership at various forums including operations reviews.Support product development and delivery related to power and thermal systems" id="hdnJobOverview" />QCT Thermal and Limits Systems Team is looking for a Senior Thermal Lead with 15-20 years of experience to lead a cross-functional engineering team to address thermal challenges supporting the Qualcomm product roadmap from concept through commercialization. Products can range from mobile/compute/IoT devices to high power automobile/server products.Must be proficient with thermal simulation and experimental analysis methodologies for silicon die, semiconductor package and full commercial systems. In addition, the Lead must also have a deep understanding of power systems including power control, thermal control and monitoring technologies for power and thermal. The thermal engineer will contribute to Qualcomm success by developing innovative thermal solutions, algorithms and methodologies to support product development and commercialization and help build long term strategy at Qualcomm in the Thermal and Limits systems design areas. Specific sample tasks include:1.Coordinating with technology teams to drive architecture, high level designs, modeling and algorithm development for power and thermal management control systems.2.Identifying use cases to develop system level power and thermal targets based on input from project leads, customers, technology owners, power leads and performance leads for products ranging from mobile phones, tablets, XR, automobile, IoT and server.3.Coordinating with Product Management, Marketing and Customer Engineering to communicate product features and gather key customer requirements related to power and thermal.4.Working with internal/external customers to develop thermal solutions for reference and commercial products which can meet performance targets.5.Working with power, performance and thermal teams to develop integrated simulation tools and experimental analysis methodologies.6.Developing experimental methodologies to characterize thermal/power/performance of various thermal designs, materials, and technologies.7.Identifying needs and developing advanced thermal technologies as needed to support future Qualcomm products.8.Analyzing competitive analysis data of various products in the marketResponsibilities:Coordination of workflow between teams related to power, thermal and performance and Thermal/Limits execution reviews across various products on the QCT roadmapDevelopment of methodologies and procedures for thermal experiments and analysisContribute to power and thermal architecture definitionContribute to hardware and software design related to power and thermal managementCommunication to engineering executive leadership at various forums including operations reviews.Support product development and delivery related to power and thermal systemsAll Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
