JOB PURPOSE

This Director level role will lead the Security Functional Architect team and ensure that IT demand is captured and that appropriate solutions are developed meeting business functional and non-functional requirements.

Integrate service delivery within the Security Architecture function and play a key role to integrate it across all functions in NBS IT.

Collaborate with the rest of NBS IT to ensure quality services are seamlessly delivered to the business stakeholders as per agreed own and other IT Units service descriptions

Define technical security standards and design and blueprint the security architecture. Provide support to the project teams in choosing the right security architecture.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

In addition to accountabilities listed above in Job Purpose:

* Accomplishes information security architecture human resource objectives by assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining functional architects; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures.
* Achieves information security architecture operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends.
* Detects security requirements by understanding organization goals and business drivers
* Defines enterprise information security architecture by analyzing information requirements; determining systems architecture, components, and technologies; studying business operations
* Ensure the team of Functional Security Architects is fully aligned and enforces consistent standards across the IT organization
* Ensure complete alignment between Security Domain Architects setting the standards and Functional Architects promoting and implementing them in the different IT projects/applications
* Ensure continual review of IT projects to assess Sec Architecture needs are detected and implemented
* Closely collaborate with the Tech Architecture and Digital team to ensure new Tech standards are assessed and evaluated from a Security standpoint
* Serve as point of escalation, review and approval for key architecture issues and decisions
* Steward for consistency and re-use on the architecture definition

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS / MEASURES OF SUCCESS

* Consistent security architecture
* Service levels are met, both towards the Business and other IT Functions
* Re-use of existing architecture patterns to define new solution
* Good cultural orientation and strong influencer of information risk management, information security, IT security, to be embedded across IT and cyber security infrastructures
* Effective management of the Functional Architects and resolution of resourcing challenges
* Effective management of information risk status leading to reduced critical audit findings.
* Projects pass without major security deficiencies in regards to application security
* Adherence to enterprise architecture template creation
* Complete coverage of methodologies and basic building blocks for security
* Clear metrics on adherence to risk acceptance as well as adherence to standards across NVS environment
