We are looking for a Director of Security Engineering that will lead and grow our security engineering group. In this role, you will build and secure our high-performance environment and manage and mentor security team members. This is a highly impactful role that will report directly to our VP of Engineering.

Responsibilities:

* Build cross-functional partnerships with teams outside of security to accomplish security objectives, improve awareness and gain buy-in
* Manage all security disciplines including application security, risk management, SOX and PCI compliance, access control, systems hardening, threat modeling, encryption, vulnerability management, digital forensics, and incident response
* Lead and mentor team members and managers to reach their full potential
* Ensure security technology is properly maintained, implemented, documented, and help align our automation efforts
* Align tactical plans that align with security and business goals
* Recruit and develop team members at all levels
* Represent Tinder at industry events and conferences

What we're looking for:

* 10+ years in the IT industry, with at least 5 years focused specifically on Information Security specifically
* Strong understanding of, and experience with, the full range of security disciplines. This includes 5+ years of experience managing a security team and developing less experienced managers
* Experience securing modern, large-scale web environments
* Experience with, and strong knowledge of, modern systems engineering tools, architecture, technologies and best practices, such as AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, configuring management tools (Puppet, SaltStack, etc).
