Overview

Job Title: Director - Digital Innovation

Location: Irving, Texas

Responsibilities

Perform technical design, development, implementation and manage/lead a team of full stack, front end, back end engineers and data scientists to drive innovation; survey the market for newest technologies and trends; drive the incubation of ideas, determine technologies to implement; evangelize solutions; create proof of concepts, pilot, and establish solutions towards deployment in production; analyze user needs and desired results and develop software solutions; lead software development projects with responsibility for overall delivery of software application components; establish strong cross functional relationships with internal stakeholder, engineering teams, operations and vendors; develop consumer, associate and franchisee facing technology products using Java, Python, JavaScript, Spring, Microservices, Cloud computing, NoSQL databases, Redis, machine learning, Swift, open source design frameworks, and Restful API's.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field followed by 5 years of progressive experience in software solution architecture, design, and development using Java, JavaScript, Python, Cloud computing, machine learning, NoSQL, SQL, Docker, Redis, CI-CD, Mobile, Restful API, Microservices, Spring, Spring Boot, Webservices, Swift, and open source design frameworks. Experience therein to include 2 years in leading engineering teams, prototyping and testing new ideas through proof of concept, delivering highly scalable and maintainable technology to production, and developing cross functional relationships with internal stakeholder, engineering teams, operations and vendors. Requires travel in the US for up to 10% of work time.
