JOB SUMMARY

Works closely as an experienced Solution Architect with both the User Experience design team and the implementation team to deliver solutions from tablets, phones, gaming systems and Smart TVs and web interfaces. Owns the end to end solutions and translates front end designs into necessary backend requirements while ensuring all APIs, data models and services exposed to client applications are in place. Collaborates often with internal Engineering and I.T. groups as well as third party solution providers.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

* Responsible for the overall architecture and execution of product road maps across multiple platforms including mobile, tablets, browsers, gaming consoles and Smart TV's.
* Understands and defines both high level, complicated systems as well as granular implementation detail in discreet or modular areas.
* Leads front-end application development efforts, and management of both internal and external software development teams.
* Provides technical leadership to internal and external development teams. Establishes and manages web and mobile development best practices.
* Deeply understands industry best practices in product development processes specific to the Cable or telecommunications space and translates appropriate steps for unique organization and market position.
* Identifies business processes/functions supported by existing process enablers vs. manual. Redesigns business processes where applicable to leverage available or new technologies.
* Develops interactive systems or video playback systems, incorporating real time and/or metadata. Manages prototype and pivots as needed based on ongoing market analyses.
* Functions as the liaison and facilitates collaboration between the Product Management team and the other supporting functional organizations (IT, Engineering, OSS, Billing, Product Development and 3rd Party suppliers, etc.) to properly interpret and deliver to the functional specifications. Ensures alignment between the business operational strategies and technical solutions.
* Gathers collaborative information to translate high level process goals into specific sub-processes with appropriate documentation.
* Develops communication plan for stakeholders and process participants.
* Proactively identifies analysis to support the effort and conduct with deep analytics when appropriate while maintaining an eye toward the bigger picture.
* Supports the development and communication of Product Strategies dependent on new services/features to drive financial results. Works with engineering, product management peers, marketing stakeholders and key market areas on implementing strategy.

* Product Management and/or Product Development Experience Required, preferably in Cable, Telecommunications, Software or Web Services
* Aptitude and eagerness to learn from a new environment and make an impact quickly

Education

* Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience
* Masters preferred, but not required
* Prefer technical degree related to the telecommunications field or operational/process optimization

Related Work Experience

* 5-7 years of Product development Process
* 5-7 years of Web 2.0, B/OSS and SOA architecture
* 5-7 years of related industry experience (Cable, Telecommunications,
* Software/Online Services)
* Experience in the Cable TV industry is desirable with a proven track record
* of successful deployment
* User interface design and user experience creation
