As a DevOps engineer on our team, you'll use your development experience to streamline our software development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You'll lead efforts to incorporate open source tools, automation, and Cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up the team's developers to do what they do best - innovate. You'll implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. You Have:

* 6+ years of experience with Linux systems engineering
* 3+ years of experience with developing back-end software applications
* 3+ years of experience with leading small technical teams in operational settings, including assigning or overseeing tasks and providing technical support and mentorship to team members
* 2+ years of experience with deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing AWS Cloud-based deployment environments to ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of productions systems
* 2+ years of experience with configuration management tools, including Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet and extending these tools with custom-developed plugins
* 2+ years of experience with the development, deployment, and troubleshooting of Docker containers in distributed production environments
* 2+ years of experience with dynamic orchestration schedulers, including Kubernetes or OpenShift, Apache Mesos, Pivotal CloudFoundry, or Docker Swarm and logging and metrics aggregation tools, including ELK, InfluxDB, Grafana, Kibana, or DataDog
* Ability to lead TEMs, synthesize technical scenarios to non-technical audiences, and provide executive-level operational status reports
* TS/SCI clearance
* HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

* Knowledge of Python, Java, or Golang programming languages
* Knowledge of ETL tools, including Apache Nifi
* Knowledge of YAML
* Ability to work on the client site in Washington, DC or Reston, VA
* Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
* BA or BS degree
* Security+ Certification
* AWS Solutions Architect Certification and Certified Kubernetes Administrator Certification
