DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Configuration Management team and assist us in building and implementing our vision for a containerized world using Docker and Kubernetes.

Ideally, you will have experience not simply executing and maintaining pipelines that others have built, but have a solid understanding of the tradeoffs encountered when implementing and developing new CI/CD pipelines.

As a member of the Configuration Management team you will assist in creating automated scripts, programs, or processes to propagate code through QA to a final release in Production, track changes to QA environments and troubleshoot as required to assist the QA team in identifying the root cause of any issues identified while testing.

Your Day-to-day:

* Create stable secure Docker containers
* Create and maintain deployment process of Docker containers to Kubernetes
* Develop automation process to build, deploy, configure, monitor applications
* Create new, and maintain existing, pipelines with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
* Create tools improve the day-to-day release processes interacting via APIs with GIT, Jira, Octopus Deploy, and other systems
* Proactively identify, and correct, procedural issues and configuration errors during the SDLC
* Monitor and maintain multiple QA environments including data replication, SQL Jobs, SSIS packages and syncing databases
* Ensure adherence to SOX requirements for configuration and release management

What we are looking for:

* Proven track record of supporting distributed, high performance software and/or enterprise systems
* BS, BA, or equivalent experience required
* Demonstrable history of resourcefulness and attention to detail
* Must be a self-starter and able to work in a team environment
* Demonstrated business and technical analysis experience
* Scripting/programming experience with Python, PowerShell, C#, etc.
* Ability to be part of after hours on-call rotation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
