Senior DevOps Engineer

Are you an experienced DevOps Engineer looking to lead the DevOps function? Do you enjoy improving the DevOps function and accelerating software development productivity and deployment frequency? Do you have experience using VMware, SaltStack, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Selenium, Grid, and Spunk?

A Day in the Life

As Switchflys Senior DevOps Engineer, you proactively analyze, contribute and improve deployment and application delivery processes for Dev, Test and Production. You lead CI/CD best practices throughout the organization, improving CI/CD processes and tools used in Switchflys automated testing and deployment processes. You are the central point of contact and the Subject Matter Expert for Dev and test teams and all environments. You lead change efforts to improve Switchflys delivery and deployment reliability and maintainability. You build, maintain and monitor configuration standards. You evaluate cloud migration readiness of the Switchfly application. You troubleshoot and resolve issues in Switchflys Dev, test and production environments. You participate in an on-call, operations support rotation. You are proficient with application management, deployment and debugging in Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Postgres, Hibernate and Couchbase environment.

The Finer Print

You have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other equivalent experience. You have 7+ years of software, operations, or systems management experience, and 5+ years working in a DevOps role. You have knowledge of agile workflow methodologies and expertise in AWS technologies. You have experience using integrated development environments and understanding of large-scale applications in enterprise scale environments. You demonstrate experience developing CI/C pipelines and leveraging CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment in an Agile DevOps environment. Most importantly, you actively exhibit Switchflys core values and culture to everyone, both internally and externally.
