The Transportation Technology Operation team in Seattle is looking for a Systems Reliability Engineer (SRE) who will act as front line gatekeeper for all incoming production software application issues, dealing with new services in Transportation Technology. These solutions will affect our customers directly! High Impact production issues often require coordination between multiple Development, Operations and IT Support groups, so you get to experience a breadth of impact with various groups.

Primary responsibilities include , diagnosing and fixing production software issues, developing monitoring solutions, performing software maintenance and configuration for internally developed code (Perl, , C/C++, JAVA); designing, architecting and building automation and tools; resolving technical challenges with root cause analysis, influencing design and architecture of future solutions.

Ideal candidate should be detail-, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills with ability to juggle multiple tasks at once. Must be able to work independently and maintain professionalism under pressure. Should be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. Must have the ability to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.
