Position Summary

As a member of our DevOps team, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between development, operations, and infrastructure. You will partner with the engineering team to deliver high-quality code backed by services such as Google Cloud DataFlow, Bigtable, Kafka, Postgres, and Elasticsearch. You'll work on improving our agile process, enabling rapid feature development, and automating infrastructure management through the use of technologies like Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Prometheus.

What You'll Do

* Work with the DevOps and Engineering team to configure, support, and improve the infrastructure and tooling of our Big Data platform
* Participate in the DevOps Agile Iteration/ Scrum Sprint process
* Monitor and optimize the performance of production cloud applications.
* Practice an "infrastructure as code" approach to system management.
* Drive continuous process feedback improvement.
* Participate in on-call rotation, respond to alerts, troubleshoot and resolve problems.

About You

* 3+ years in DevOps/Software development
* Cloud Infrastructure automation in at least one Public Cloud (AWS or GCP or Azure).
* Coding experience in scripting using Bash/Python
* Experience with Jenkins (or similar) in managing a CI/CD pipeline.
* Experience with and practical knowledge of Linux.
* Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation) is a plus.
* Experience managing Docker containers/Kubernetes is a huge plus.
* BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
