Role Purpose

The SYFY Short-Form Animation and Alternative Formats group is seeking a development coordinator to join the team. The coordinator will be an active member of the development process and support the team throughout the development and production lifecycle from pitch to delivery. This team operates like a start-up within the larger SYFY organization, so we are looking for a motivated, proactive, self-starter who is excited about the idea of helping out in different areas outside of just development. This is an amazing opportunity for someone to be a key member of a small, but growing team that is charged with acquiring, developing and producing short-form animated content and alternative formats across all SYFY's platforms-- on-air and digital.

This candidate must be able to juggle multiple projects in a very fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should be creative, detail-oriented, independent, proactive, self-motivated and possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a deep passion for animated content.

Responsibilities

* Support the team across all areas of the development process
* Develop, update, and maintain multiple project trackers
* Be the expert on the competitive landscape and provide systematic updates
* Read scripts/provide coverage, assemble notes, and respond to submissions and pitches, update pitch tracker
* Research content ideas from the team and help source pitches and potential acquisitions
* Facilitate creative changes based upon stakeholder notes and concerns
* Manage clearance / NDA / pitch process
* Ensure S & P guidelines are adhered to / secure approvals
* Problem-solve issues that arise with timelines, budget, feedback, shift in direction and unplanned projects
* Setup new vendors, code, submit and track all invoices and maintain multiple project budgets
* Prepare weekly performance recaps for all priorities

Qualifications/Requirements

* 2+ years of previous experience at a network, streaming service, agency, or production company, ideally on the development or production side
* Deep passion for and awareness of current trends in adult animation and comedic content
* Proven ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects and be detail-oriented, with the ability to interface with the creative community as well as all levels of NBCU personnel
* Candidate must be able to thrive and excel in a fast-paced, heavy volume environment; adapting to quickly-changing demands and deadlines while keeping a professional attitude
* Demonstrated ability to quickly develop internal and external relationships at all levels
* Demonstrated experience as a self-starter and forward-thinker
