Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science preferred
* Front-End development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
* Full-stack development experience in a server-side language (C#, PHP, Python, or Node.JS)
* Intermediate to strong background and hands-on experience in developing with JavaScript, CSS, & HTML5 preferred
* Experience utilizing Angular, Bootstrap or other responsive frameworks as part of development efforts
* Familiarity with APIs and Web Services (REST/SOAP)
* Well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques - including development methodologies and best practices
* Intermediate to strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to web-based applications
* Experience creating mobile application user interfaces and developing windows, web, & console applications
* Experience with SQL Server is a must
* Experience with Agile software development

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

* This position will be responsible for full-stack software development with a focus on leading development efforts using technologies such as Visual Studio, HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript
* The work will be focused on developing web applications for a wide variety of browser environments and devices
* To excel you'll need a solid understanding of client and server development, and all major desktop and mobile browser behaviors, responsive web design techniques, interface defect troubleshooting, and graceful fallback strategies for unsupported browsers
* Test all completed views in a variety of browsers and devices
* Troubleshoot and resolve any application and user interface defects between browsers
* Solid Front-End developer as well as Back-End full stack developer
* Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned

Salary Minimum: $67,816

Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines. A campus-based employee may not assume a new position for which he/she was selected based upon the posting process until the end of the current semester, unless approved by the chief officer - Human Capital Management.
