We are looking for Desktop Support Technician to be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and configuration of a broad array of IT systems throughout all of our offices in partnership with other team members. The primary areas of responsibility are LAN and WAN support, wireless network support, software/hardware upgrades, patch management, and on-boarding/off-boarding employees.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a small and efficient IT team. You are comfortable supporting both networks and systems. This position will work closely with the senior members of the team to support and implement IT services.
* Serve as the first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance over in various ways * Perform remote troubleshooting * Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel * Provide accurate information on IT products or services * Follow-up and update customer status and information * Maintain inventory for hardware and software requirements * Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures * Provide support to users who interface with end-users via in-person meetings, telephone calls, emails, and remote desktop sessions to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. * Experience with maintaining Active Directory * Deploy Apple/Windows laptops and other equipment to employees to meet department and position specifications
* A Bachelor's degree in a related field or IT related degree and/or combination of directly related work experience commensurate with 2+ years' experience * Excellent problem-solving skills * Must be self-motivated * Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control * Must be able to function as a member of a team. * Must be able to work varied work hours * Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products * Basic knowledge of operating systems (Mac OS X or Windows) * Basic understanding of LAN / WAN technologies * Superior customer service and communication skills- ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical users
