About You:

SmartAsset is looking for a hands-on, experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our NYC-based technology team. You will join a rapidly growing company and get to work on various aspects of our technology systems, including managing telecommunication and video-conference services, desktop and mobile hardware, network infrastructure, several cloud-based systems, and more.

Responsibilities:

* The primary task of this position will be to an architect and troubleshooter of all endpoint related desktop systems and software for our 120+ person organization while assisting with the day-to-day administrative operations for SmartAsset's IT infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience:

* 2-3+ years of previous experience in a Desktop Engineer role supporting a 50+ person organization
* Solid understanding of networking (firewalls, routers, wifi, security, etc)
* Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft and MacOS software and systems
* Engineer, test, deploy and manage corporate internal client images for Windows 10 and MacOS
* Experience in supporting, diagnosing and troubleshooting desktop & mobile hardware
* Some experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) preferred
* Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to meet established timeframes and deadlines.
* Proficient in one or more modern, general purpose scripting languages (python, powershell, bash, etc).
* Self-motivated and proactive individual
* An ability to think outside the box and find the best solutions to complex/challenging problems
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Information Technology or Computer Science
* Excellent communication skills required
