Job Description

The Microsoft Azure UX team is looking for a designer to drive great UX for the Azure Cloud Collaboration Center (CCC). The CCC covers complex monitoring scenarios and crisis management. The ideal candidate for this position would have a passion for data-visualization and reducing many complex data signals into meaningful, actionable insights. As a designer on our team, you will be responsible for delivering design and innovation across one or more facets of the design process, including rapid prototyping, storytelling, sketching, storyboarding, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, motion design, design research and usability. The user experience designer must be a strong advocate for the user, know the user based on real customer interactions, and learn and champion industry-leading user-centered design practices.

Key qualifications

* 2+ years' experience with visual and interaction design skills
* Enthusiasm for an iterative design process
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present your work to peers across disciplines
* Outstanding collaboration skills
* Ability to think creatively and critically about design problems
* Demonstrated ability to synthetize design solutions from ambiguous concepts
* Familiarity with data-driven applications
* Knowledge of cutting edge applications and the latest UX metaphors is a plus

Education

* BS Degree in Visual Design, Graphic Arts, Interaction Design, HCI or equivalent.

Additional Requirements

Strong portfolio showcasing work experience on web and/or application design.  Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
