Job Title: Design Engineer III

Location: New York, NY

Job Duties:

ADP Technology Services, Inc. seeks a Design Engineer III at our New York, NY location. Responsibilities: Develop functional specifications and designs for Human Capital Management (HCM) software applications to be implemented by software engineering teams. Drive a software platform product roadmap and feature backlog to address the needs of next-generation HCM software applications. Support Authorization (Access Control Mechanisms), Graph Data Structures, and Querying for HCM software applications. Work with HCM software application product owners and software developers to identify software product requirements. Collaborate with technical product managers to solve cross-functional business needs. Develop software product runbooks and user guide manuals. Drive software product adoption and train customers on best practices.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience. Employer will accept a master's degree plus two (2) years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree plus five years of experience.

Work Experience:

Two (2) years of experience must include: Enterprise-level access control or compliance system; Data-modeling; SQL; Java/Javascript; Shell Scripting; Application analytics tools, including Splunk, DataDog or Kibana; Office and collaboration tools, including Rally, JIRA or Sharepoint; JSON syntax and schema; Testing APIs and integrations; Agile and Scrum environments; Microservices and service-oriented architecture; and Open source APIs.
