Reporting to development manager, incumbent performs development duties supporting the fulfillment of the company vision of achieving effective business solutions to meet the internal/external client's objectives while assisting customers with formulating and defining system objectives

* Prepares flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate sequence of steps program must follow and to describe logical operations involved.
* Plans, develops, tests, and documents computer programs, applying knowledge of development programming techniques and computer systems while consulting with user(s) to identify current operating procedures and clarify objectives.
* Converts project specifications, using flowcharts and diagrams, into sequence of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding into language useable by computer, applying knowledge of computer programming techniques and computer languages.
* Conducts development programming which requires entering program codes and commands into computer system to program, run and test programs; then reading computer printouts or observes display screen to detect syntax or logic errors during program test, or uses diagnostic software to detect errors and finally replace, delete, or modify codes to correct errors.
* Analyzes, reviews, and alters programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
* Writes documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections and well as writing user manuals to describe installation and operating procedures.
* Assists end-users to solve operating problems, which includes recreating steps taken by user to locate source problem and rewrites program to correct errors.
* Reads manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to keep abreast of new developments and to learn ways to develop programs that meet user requirements.
* Perform advanced troubleshooting of business applications in response to end-user reported problems
* Evaluate and make recommendations for the evolution of business applications
* Contribute to strategic planning initiatives for assigned area(s)
* Perform other duties as required.
