The opportunity:

This position requires an individual with strong technical and analytical skills, robust background in technology, design and architecture expertise, and excellent communication.

The OpenText WFO Software group was formerly etalk Corporation, a recognized innovator in the Workforce Optimization (WFO) space. Open Text WFO Software group introduced one of the first contact center quality monitoring systems and invented the phrase "Your call may be monitored for quality purposes". Over the years, the group has continued to innovate including the introduction of the first contact center speech analytics system as well as patented SIP recording. Today, the software developed by this group powers some of the largest contact centers in the world.

This position will be based in Addison, Texas at the worldwide headquarters for OpenText WFO Software.

You are great at:

* Participating in or leading a Data Engineering (DE) Team supporting one or more application projects.
* Working collaboratively with an Application team, including architects, developers and testers, to ensure project success.
* Engaging and collaborating with infrastructure DBA teams to ensure delivery of DB infrastructure components.
* Ensuring integration of DE deliverables with other project deliverables.
* Mentoring less experienced DE team members.
* Participating in discussions with customers and peers to collect and analyze data requirements
* Performing technology evaluations and providing recommendations for key infrastructure components.
* Working collaboratively with other teams and disciplines within the company, including back-end and front-end software engineers, UX designers, QA, and product/project management.

What it takes:

* A technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years related experience or a Master's degree
* Extensive experience with relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database technologies
* Scrum/Agile methodology working group experience
* Architecture for Hosted and SaaS offerings.
* Design database environments and databases.
* Design, develop, modify, test, release/ deploy and maintain database objects.
* Design database objects and supervise develop, modify, test, release/ deploy and maintain by other DBAs.
* Design, develop, modify, test, release/ deploy and maintain database security and audit solutions design, develop, modify, test, release/ deploy and maintain database recovery solutions.
* Execute database and data recovery.
* Manage database performance, capacity and availability.
* DB implementation, upgrade, patching
