POSITION TITLE:

Database Engineer / Developer

The Database and System Architect/Engineer will report to the Vice President and Managing Director of IT. This position will work primarily with the IT Development group to increase efficiencies in various reporting and business needs as well as maintain business systems infrastructure. This position is responsible for analyzing, maintaining, developing and improving database architecture, especially when it relates and interacts with outside vendor data and systems. This role requires monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancements to production database jobs.

RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW:

Develop data process flows to improve Hall Capital Partners business systems infrastructureImprove and maintain architecture for reporting and business needsWork with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve issuesManage internal Intranet and web appsResolve day to day data requestsFind solutions to requests and issues involving database and systems needs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Four year Bachelor's degree; computer science or science engineering degree preferred
* 0-5 years of work experience
* Experience and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
* Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL Server Skills; including integration
* Familiarity of C#, Javascript, .Net framework a plus
* Experienced knowledge of Team Foundation Services Source Control
* Superior interpersonal skills and ability to positively interact with all levels within an organization
* Able to prioritize and respond quickly to immediate, time-sensitive requests.
* Ability to work effectively and productively with others on a team and train others when needed
* Have a "client-centric" mentality; be adept at anticipating the needs of others

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job requires employee to sit for approximately 6-7 hours a day and use a keyboard and mouse for repetitive motion. There will be up to 15 lbs. to lift, push, or pull in this job.
