Amazon Payments Team is currently looking for a talented Database Engineer with 5+ years of experience for its Seattle office to design, develop and manage the persistence solutions to serve Amazon Payment needs. This position offers opportunity to become an expert on PostgresSQL, AWS persistence technologies RDS and RedShift. As a database engineer, you will work directly with software engineers to implement solutions to accommodate our growth through lean and efficient approaches to data storage. The right candidate should have design and development experience with enterprise class applications.

Effective communication and strong collaboration skills are requirements for the position

* Experience with multiple database platforms is a plus
* Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
* Experience with managing production database servers
* Experience in PostgreSQL/MySQL replication technologies
