The Business Intelligence Team is looking for a passionate and experienced Database Developer II who can understand underlying big data needs, access and manipulate large set of data, and to provide business insights to different stakeholders within the organization. The Database Developer II will work in a consultative manner to provide actionable insights and provide clear data/reporting that will make our products and services better and grow our business. The Database Developer II will work within an Agile environment to implement reports and dashboards in both real time and scheduled processes.

Responsibilities

* Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume and multi-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques.
* Evolving our data driven process and architecture by implementing new cloud technologies using Azure, AWS or an equivalent set of cloud capabilities.
* Work with the data providers and transform the data as per the business requirements suitable for reporting.
* Create reporting strategy, execution and delivery for the reports. Creating key metrics, reports and dashboards to support business health.
* Gather insights to backup any feature ideas and ensure any new features are instrumented appropriately for future insights.
* Analyzing and solving complex business problems, breaking down the work into actionable tasks, and working with the BI Manager to plan and communicate delivery commitments.

Qualifications

* Strong BI development experience (ETL) and strong proficiency in SQL, DAX, Power BI tools.
* Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS highly valued.
* Data wrangling and modeling with scripting language such as Python strongly preferred.
* Experience developing and managing SSAS tabular models and MDX querying.
* Familiarity with version control systems - TFS, GIT etc.
* Excellent problem solving, critical thinking skills, effective communication skills and strong cross-group collaboration.
* Willing to help the team whenever needed and should be a team player.
* Self-motivated and willing to take end responsibility of the stories.
* Respond and communicate effectively with the stakeholders.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
