As a Database Administrator, you will primarily be responsible for database managament and tuning; you will work with the application team in requirement gathering, planning and execution phase. You will configure monitoring tools and create application specific monitoring via shell scripting to make alerting system more robust; You will perform various performance goal oriented database tuning using explain plan, AWR, ADDM and various Oracle Advisors, Monitor Data trends for databases and guide Unix/Wintel team to take appropriate actions. You will monitor network lags, issues with the application network configurations to maintain uninterrupted connectivity and work with the application team to restore entire environment to normal state, in case of a database failure. You will use RMAN, datapump tools efficiently to make restoration and recovery process smooth; You will help application teams to create appropriate DB links between production and non-production environment, to populate their reports

Locations for these positions are Ashburn VA and Temple terrace, FL. This position may require 10% travel

Qualifications

Basic:

* Associates degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
* At least 4Years of experience in Information Technology

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong Database Administrator with
* With atleast 4 years experience in Oracle 11g and 12c,
* Along with Adminstration expereince in MYSQL and Postgres.
* Experience with masking databases environments with Informatica Test Data management required
* Excellent communication skills
* Linux and Windows operating systems
* RMAN backup/recovery methodologies
* Oracle Real Application cluster (RAC) and performance tuning in mission critical environments
* Develop data models and perform planning of architecture, functions, modules, recovery, standards and implementation
* Golden Gate and streams replication.
* Experience with AWS public cloud and AWS certfication is preferred.
* Administation experience with MYSQL and Postgress
* Setup and Administer MYSQL Highly available architecture
* Setup and Administer migrate databases to Postgres
* Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
