Overview

Inovalon Inc., seeks Data Visualization Developer for multiple openings.

Responsibilities

* Create and build custom, re-usable data visualizations based on statistical and mathematical modeling and data analysis that will be used to solve a variety of problems related to Inovalon's complex clinical and healthcare data reporting and Electronic Health Record (EHR) processes.
* Apply knowledge of technical computing platforms, tools, and techniques to analyze information and data requirements obtained from data scientists and analysts and other business stakeholders to plan and propose solutions for optimizing data integration strategies, intuitive designs, and enterprise interactive dashboards.
* Formulate simulation models of operational problems and proposed solutions related to integrating and analyzing clinical and healthcare data in EHR databases, using dynamic data visualizations that incorporate intuitive interfaces, infographics, interactive drill-downs, movements, and highlights to add layers of information, engage users to explore data, and tell stories with data.
* Present results of modeling and complex data analysis to relevant business users in a simple and clear manner.
* Work across multi-functional teams to formulate, prototype, implement, and fine tune solutions.
* Educate product development and operations teams on the use of data visualizations developed.
* Collect feedback to make continuous improvements to new and existing data visualizations.
* Contribute to guidelines and design conventions and standards for modeling and data visualizations.

Qualifications

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Software/Computer Engineering, or related field of study.
* Master's degree plus at least two years of related professional experience in creating, coding, and delivering custom data visualizations, or five years of related professional experience if in possession of a relevant bachelor's degree.
* Functional knowledge of cloud computing and online business models required.
* Familiarity with data science and a high-level understanding of the machine learning models typically used in business scenarios and demonstrated understanding of information systems system architecture, data management processes, and data quality assurance also required.
* Demonstrated ability to translate business priorities and strategies into actionable, measurable plans
* Demonstrated algorithm development experience including knowledge of statistical and matrix processing techniques, machine learning, data mining, data warehouse modeling, information theory, graphical models, and advanced data visualization and dashboard/report skills using JavaScript, Tableau or other similar data visualization tools required
* Use expertise and tools, including immersed visualization, distributed computing, object-oriented programming, scalable parallel computing, and visualization solutions.
* Must also possess experience in writing SQL queries, SQL, SQL Server, and SSRS, quantitative and statistical data analysis and modeling, interactive reporting, database systems, operations research methodology, decision and logic design, root cause analysis, computer networks, data structures, programming languages, Microsoft technologies (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio).
* Experience with data visualization libraries, and R and related packages also required.
