About Your Role

We are looking for an individual to create data visualizations using Datawrapper that will be used to enhance our articles. These visualizations would be embedded into articles on The Balance and Investopedia to provide our readers with as rich an educational experience as possible. This is a 60-day contract role.

At times you will be able to use data that already exists in published articles and turn it into a chart, graph or map using Datawrapper. In other cases, you will evaluate published articles that do not contain data, identify whether they could be improved with a visualization, and if so, find and source the data you think will be interesting to visualize, then create the graph/chart/map using Datawrapper.

About You

* 3+ years of work experience in analytics, data visualization or data science.
* Experience identifying and sourcing public data to use in visualizations.
* Solid understanding of how to identify and create the best possible visualization on a particular topic.
* Experience working with financial and economic data is an asset.
