As a Data Virtualization Developer, you will be a member of the GRC technology development team, with specific focus on developing Audit, Risk and Compliance integrated reporting and data analytics solutions. In this role you will be responsible for working with the stakeholders to analyze business data needs, the creation of data models that support reporting and data integration, and the implementation of these models on the TIBCO Data Virtualization platform (previously known as Composite). In addition, you will be working closely with other members on the development team (report authors, ETL developers, data modelers, etc.) to facilitate communication of client-specific business rules, processes, requirements and requests.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop data models in support of integrated business reporting and data exchange

To implement data models on the TIBCO / Cisco Data Virtualization platform, including necessary data transformations and views within the platform

To perform data profiling on source system data to ensure that source system data can be integrated properly within the TIBCO / Cisco Data Virtualization platform.

To maintain and optimize the TIBCO / Cisco Data Virtualization platform to ensure that it's working efficiently

To assist with data consumers and downstream system developers of the TIBCO / Cisco Data Virtualization platform to ensure that queries against the platform are designed properly

To provide assistance and guidance during the QA & UAT phases to quickly confirm the validity of potential issues and to determine the root cause and best resolution of verified issues.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required

At least 3 years of experience working on the TIBCO / Cisco Data Virtualization platform, including CIS version 7.0.

At least 5 years of experience in Database \ Data Warehouse development and solutions.

At least 5 years for SQL experience with the ability to write ad-hoc and complex queries to perform data analysis.

Strong experience on IBM DB2, including DB2 10.5 and 11

Experience with developing against XML, JSON data, and flat file data

Experience with writing XQuery and SPARQL against unstructured / semi-structured data sources (NoSQL) like MarkLogic a plus

Experience with other Data Virtualization tools (like AtScale) a plus

Ability to create and understand E-R data models (conceptual, logical and physical)

Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

Experience with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Capable of collaborating effectively across a variety of IT and Business groups, across regions, roles and able to interact effectively with all levels.

Self starter. Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision. Can manage a complex ever changing priority list and resolve conflicts to competing priorities.

Understanding of the Financial Services industry and content lifecycle relating to Risk, Regulatory, Audit and Knowledge Management needs is a plus

Strong problem solving skills. Ability to identify where focus is needed and bring clarity to business objectives, requirements and priorities.

Overall technical understanding of data warehousing, business intelligence, web and other multi-tiered, distributed applications/systems.
