Responsibilities/Qualification
Position Summary:
The Data Validation /Quality Assurance Lead manages and supports the environmental laboratory data review, validation, technical report writing and data management for the Contract Laboratory Program (CLP). This is all done following the National Functional Guidlines (NFG). Position is based in North Chelmsford, MA
Responsibilities:
* Performs the full range of duties involved in conducting data validation for analytical chemistry projects.
* Uses instruments for analyzing organic and/or inorganic compounds.
* Additionally responsible for all activities involving quality assurance, quality control, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
* May conduct audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation and maintains accreditation.
* Formulates and maintains the laboratory Quality Management Plan, QA/QC reports, SOPs, SOG, and QAPPs.
* Performs CLP data validation and conducting laboratory audits in accordance with EPA national and regional protocols.
* Provides guidance to less experienced QA/data review staff.
* Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or related scientific discipline, and 5 years of experience in an environmental laboratory, or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.
* Direct experience managing Quality programs of a similar nature.
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of NELAC Institute standards.
* Must be US Citizen; no sponsorship available.
* Proficient in environmental laboratory QA/QC practices, and procedures.
