Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be working in an agile environment responsible for implementing quality checks to ensure data quality from the data factory perspective, including:

* Work closely with the Analysts and Data factory engineers to ensure ETL code correctness
* Understand the incoming data, identify locations of data elements of interest, and put together a data validation plan
* Build regression test suite for the data warehouse
* Identify and implement big data validation with emerging technology for the data pipeline
* Contribute to technical documentation of test plans and processes
* Participate in ongoing innovation to improve processes and bring scale
* Contribute to tools/framework development to aid in data validation effort
* Contribute to evolution of company level software development best practices, standards, and policies

Required Qualifications:

* 3 years of experience working with data, analyzing data and understanding data
* 3 years of combined software QA and/or software development experience
* Experience working with large data sets using technologies such as SQL / PL/SQL
* Bachelor's degree, or work equivalent, in data sciences, health information systems, computer science or related field
* Ability to work individually and within groups

Preferred Qualifications:

* Ability to query large data sets using spark SQL, HQL or similar big data technologies
* Basic statistics skills
* Experience working with any object-oriented programming language like Java, Python, Scala.
* Working knowledge of health information systems
* Healthcare data domain knowledge
* Spark engine knowledge/experience
* Analytical thinking
