Requisition Number: 30578 Job Title: PROGRAMMER/ANALYST III Working Title: Data Systems Developer Salary: $5,234 - $10,358 monthly Job Type: Department Name: 5090-REGISTRAR'S OFFICE Department Website URL: www.registrar.ucla.edu Job Summary Statement: The Programmer/Analyst IV, under the general supervision of the Data Systems Manager, Student Affairs Information Technology (SAIT), will work as a data systems developer for Student Affairs and campus level systems, which includes but not limited to, Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS), Student Records, Financial Aid, Student Affairs Department Systems, and supporting data systems, applying thorough knowledge of data / information management with full understanding of industry practices and functions.
The data systems developer provides database support for the Student Affairs IT organization. Database support includes management of MS SQL and IBM DB2 DBMs, data integration specification, ETL creation, SSIS maintenance and SSRS infrastructure management. Creation and maintenance of highly complex reports deployed through SSRS, through web front ends, Excel and other third party applications as needed; Maintenance of SQL and IBM data replication; Support of new application development with data modeling and data level consulting in concert with business analysts and application development groups. Troubleshooting performance bottlenecks and deploying production fixes. Deploy QA and Production database objects. Establish and maintain development of database environments.
