Position Summary:

The incumbent designs and manages Business Intelligence dashboards, data sets and analytics services that support the UCI Medical Center and School of Medicine.

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server

Ability to customize Business Intelligence tools to meet user needs

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to lead projects or portions of larger projects

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, templates and analytical views

Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software based technical issues to ensure a stable, robust data warehouse/BI environment in Windows platforms

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience with Transact SQL scripts and relational and multidimensional database designs

Minimum of 5 years working in programming in a healthcare or finance setting

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Strong problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Data Warehouse development experience

Experience using MS Reporting Services (MSRS) and knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services

Experience using an ETL tool such as Talend

Experience with Tableau Software

Experience with data modeling tools

Full software lifecycle development experience using a variety of programming environments, including open source tools
