The Amazon Infrastructure Finance team is looking for a Data Scientist to own an end-to-end business problem which will have a direct impact on the bottom line of our business while improving customer experience. You will have heavy impact and high visibility to essential, business-critical processes, and will be responsible for supporting Senior Leaders across Amazon. You will partner with technology teams ranging from those responsible for running the retail website to teams developing the newest products and services. You will leverage your education and applied work experience to become a key member on a new infrastructure cost allocation project.
* Organize and structure large data sets * Partner with the technical teams to define the key metric drivers * Determine how the key metric drivers will be calculated, owned and tracked * Partner with Engineering, Data Scientists and Economists to develop the cost allocation methodology * Facilitate the implementation of the new cost allocation methodology to financial systems * Ensure financial data reporting is accurate * Analyze data and present information to support decision making * Drive process improvement and standardization
