We are seeking a talented senior data scientist to join our team. Your responsibilities as a senior data scientist will include the following:

* Working with product managers, other data scientists and data engineers to design, scope and implement data products
* Leading a project with data scientists to build machine learning pipelines that power our suite of risk models
* Making data-driven decisions and defining success criteria for your projects
* Communicating abstract concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including the use of appropriate visualizations

What we are looking for:

* Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g. CS, Statistics, Sciences, Engineering, Economics)
* Deep understanding of ML techniques (e.g. clustering, anomaly detection, NLP) or statistical modeling, and the trade-offs between them
* 3+ years of industry experience in data analysis, building and testing ML models in a production environment with proven business impact; 1+ years of experience in leading data science projects
* Ability to scope, plan and execute projects given business use cases
* Coding and mentoring ability in Python or R, and SQL
* Good communication skills and ability to think critically in a dynamic environment
* A positive attitude and a growth mindset

Bonus:

* Insurance, actuarial modeling or financial modeling experience
* Understanding of computer networking and cybersecurity
* Experience with Cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS), open source data processing frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Apache Spark, AWS Redshift) and NoSQL databases (e.g. Mongo, Cassandra, DynamoDB)
* Graduate level statistics courses such as Generalized Linear Models, Time-Series Analysis, Statistical Learning, Bayesian Statistics
