NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Data Modeler/Analyst to join our team in Carlsbad, California (US-CA), United States (US).

Job Duties:

Working closely with onsite / offshore teams and customer business owners / users to develop functional specifications with minimal / no supervision

Be the interface between information technology and business functions.

Understand, analyze, and document client business requirements

Planning and facilitating workshops and end-user working sessions intended to capture requirements and validate design

Assist in recommending, designing, testing, and implementing systems upgrades and improvements.

Other responsibilities include: acting as the key point of contact for understanding/researching functionality and helping users; writing, updating and reviewing detailed system documentation; and monitoring job logs of critical system functions.

Publish communication related to the deployment of new functionality

Translate user requirements into user requests and functional specification

Develop training and change programs to support project

Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

Comply with company's Global IT Policies & Procedures

Participate in requirements definition, analysis and the design of logical and physical data models.

Leading data discovery discussions with Business in JAD sessions and map the business requirements to logical and physical data modeling solutions.

Conduct data model reviews with project team members

Capture technical metadata through data modeling tools

Ensure database designs efficiently support BI and end user requirements

Drive continual improvement and enhancement of existing systems.

Collaborate with ETL/Data Engineering teams to create data process pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.

Collaborate with Data Architects for data model management, documentation, and version control.

Maintain expertise and proficiency in the various application areas

Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and standards

Strong Conceptual, Logical and Physical data modeling for VLDB Data warehouse

Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science or information systems (or equivalent experience)

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years' experience in Oracle Database (11g or above), Hands experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL

5+ years of hands on experience in ETL tool Informatica and Spark (Python or Scala) or other industry leading tools

1+ Exposure to AWS Cloud technologies, mainly on the services of VPC, EC2, S3, DMS and Glue.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
