Job Description:

This data engineer or data scientist will be exposed to a variety of client initiatives and problems that may require unique problem solving and technical implementation. As a data engineer you will work with internal and external client teams to drive high priority customer analytics initiatives. This position will require an understanding of how advanced analytics are positioned to meet business objectives, how advanced analytics relates to business and enterprise architectures, and how to implement advanced analytic solutions through people, process and technology. This individual must be dynamic and ready to adapt to deliver high quality analytics and data needs to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have extensive Microsoft and Open Source technology experience implementing Big Data with Advanced Analytics solutions including data ingestion, data storage, data shaping, machine learning, predictive analytics and data visualization.

This candidate must have strong collaboration skills, works well with ambiguity, works well across roles and groups. The ability and willingness to take the initiative to facilitate teamwork and serve the client needs first which includes working with other members of the 10th Magnitude team and client team, including project managers, software developers, business analysts, data engineers, and data scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and deploy machine learning solutions to provide data driven insights for clients
* Develop and deploy cloud data pipelines in Microsoft Azure to support business needs
* Aggregate and analyze data to create actionable information for customers to drive business outcomes
* Collaborate with client data and data science teams to enhance, scale, and operationalize existing models
* Deliver solutions leveraging latest machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) techniques, including exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model selection, model evaluation and cross-validation
* Select/create algorithms and software needed to perform analysis
* Research, evaluate, and develop analytical and decision-making methodologies
* Test and validate data, information, and models against reality Research and implement machine learning, data mining and other statistical modeling techniques
* Stay abreast with recent publications and relevant research to develop client-specific solutions and keep current on trends and new offerings in the Data Science space.

Qualifications:

* 3 years' experience with one or more of following data analytics tools: R, Python, Scala, etc
* Experience with core quantitative analysis techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, ML, AI, or natural language processing)
* Knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, and practices
* Experience creating modern and scalable data processing solutions to support business requirements
* Quantitative background with 3+ years of experience applying data science to solve real-world business problems.
* Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI is a plus.
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus
* Working knowledge of SQL for the use of data extraction, cleansing and analysis
