Data Engineer

Location: Mclean, VA

Duration: 6 months with possible extension/ possible contract to hire

Description:

* Could be equivalent to Dir/Sr Director role

Team info:

* This is a Data Engineer role
* Applications : - Saveris - in house platform used for operation of credit card charges, previously TYSYS were providing this but since they did not provide some details this inhouse system was brought. TYSYS is only involved in platform interface aspect now.
* General enhancement is going on currently, extending it to do authorization of Walmart Credit Cards
* They have not started feeding Walmart Data into it yet as they have some sophisticated data models that need to be
* Need experienced Data Engineers capable of working independently
* Looking for people at Guru level ( 10-15 years of total experience)

Top 3 skills

* Java
* Scala
* Spark (not touching any streaming aspects)

Nice to have

* Drools Engine ( almost as important as top skills) ( highly preferred)
* AWS - deployment cloud
* Jenkins
* CI CD
* Would be nice to get someone with all 3 top skills for all positions but will look at someone with experience with a mix of some of the top and preferred skills.
