Job overview and responsibilities

The position of the senior developer, is to be able to program in Java, Java Servlet Pages, and Cloud related solutions to support the current applications within the IT baggage area.

* Experienced developer coding in Java, JSP, Java Script Framework, Angular JS, Web Sphere, AWS technologies, Micro Services, RESTFUL API, XML/JSON, relational databases and Advanced Structed Query Language.
* The individual should be experienced with the SDLC phases of application development, and have good trouble shooting skills
* Experience working with cross functional teams related to project work, providing expertise on application development, support efforts, and following policy and procedures.
* Able to manage multiple project and work priorities simultaneously, and to report out development or project risks ahead of time
* Also has experience with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodology.
* Team player with very good written and communication skills.
* Self-motivated developer who demonstrates strong technical skills and the ability to respond quickly to technical issues or challenges.

Experienced supporting and leading production calls with key IT leaders and members.

Required

* BS in Computer Science or related degree discipline.
* Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Minimum 2-3 years experience programming in AWS cloud environment
* Minimum 5 to 8 years in software development using Java and other technology.
* Review code of team members and provide feedback
* Ability to scale the software code for best practices
* Build solutions in either Agile or Waterfall workflow
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
* Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
* Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
